Help get Rex Parfitt elected as Liberal Democrat councillor in Poppyland
Rex worked for many years in local government at County level, both in delivering services and latterly in a corporate capacity, particularly in the context of improving performance.
Rex moved to Norfolk in 2009, having had connections to the County for many years. He continued to work in HR Consultancy, particularly with District Councils in helping to deliver improved services to the community via effective people management, and has has played an active role in the community himself.
Rex believes passionately in local consultation and participation, with communities being able to make decisions at local level and directly influence national policy making. Better public services, particularly in transport and recreational services, taking account of the specific needs of individual villages, will help rural communities to cope with both their individual issues and the extremely difficult national context and thereby survive and thrive.
